About Edwin Fu

Hi there!

This website is about Edwin Fu. Welcome to my website! You are most probably here because you met me IRL, you are interested in what I wrote or you want to know more about my projects. I hope you ultimately find what you are looking for.

I live in Singapore, a city-state located in Southeast Asia. My country differs significantly from her neighbours (notably Malaysia and Indonesia) in political, economical and cultural dimensions. Should you set foot in Singapore, you would immediately note how first-world she is; few places in Singapore are left undeveloped.

I am Chinese but I think in English. Struggling with the mother tongue a bit, but hopefully with practice comes results.

I graduated from the Rafflesian schools (Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College), and it framed more of my identity than I realised. I have certain values and expectations that come with the "Raffles" name. Sometimes it is an awkward burden, but as is more often the case, knowing that I form part of a greater community of outstanding individuals does challenge me to strive for the best in all my endeavours, to enable the best in others.

I have very broad interests that are constantly evolving as I find out more. I really love to read and watch films, though I have an unhealthy addiction to tragedy.

Ideologically, I am comfortable not subscribing to fixed belief systems. In part because I am considerably ignorant of many ideologies' nuances, but largely because I accept ambiguity in my life, the shades of gray. After all, information changes, contingent truths change, and we must do likewise.

It has been many great years of existence. Years of wondrous and unique experiences that have shaped the person I am. Yet more years to experience, affect, learn. I will be a different person then. Looking forward to it :)
